This will essentially be in chronological order. I started out by camping in Valley of the Gods, which is a perfect jumping-off point for Utah. I didn't label many of these campsites intentionally.

And as mentioned, all camping was free. I looked for side roads that showed promise for isolation, distance from the highway, and good views. It was hit and miss, but I soon developed a nose for finding nugget spots and the versatility of the 4runner enabled me to get further out.

I recall this day was hot in the mid-summer Utah sun. But like every desert, dawn and dusk make it all worth it. This and the next two are all taken from the same spot.

On my way to a music festival and stumbled upon a small lake.

Quiet and isolated with shade.

This is essentially the opposite of the picture above. Open sky and clean land. Great for star gazing and observing weather.

About Me

Shorts and t-shirt time in Maracaibo. I'm all about Natalia Lafourcade & Mon Laferte, goofing off, staring at the bridge outside my window, and drinking coffee.
