I Get Married

So all that yardwork and construction going on earlier this summer? All for a good cause. I got married on 6 July 2025 to Solanyel Agudelo. I'm a lucky man indeed.
We started dating fall of 2022 and in January 2025 we broke up. I took a job in Mozambique couldn't figure out a way to make it work long term. In May 2025, I'd had enough. I emailed my people in Mozambique and asked if I could bring a spouse. Kindly, they said yes (what good people!). The next day I called Javier and explained the situation to him and asked where I could buy an engagement ring. He was excited and said he'd go with me to get it. I messaged Sol and asked her to meet me for coffee the next day.
The next day rolls around and I meet Javier to get a ring. We try to secretly meet with her dad to get his blessing but he was out of town. A phone call would have to suffice, and it did. I called up some students to be the incognito people at the cafe to record the proposal. They showed up and I was nervous as hell. I told them that Sol and I were broken up, and this could end poorly. I was terrified, and she had no idea what was about to hit her. The rest is history. I couldn't believe she said yes.

I can't say enough about how my family helped out. Moriah was essentially our wedding planner. She did Sol's hair, helped a ton with the flowers, contracted employees and a wonderful photographer, among all the other small stuff that needs doing.

And mom made the cake! It was lovely and delicious. She also crushed a cheesecake.

What a day. Sol's niece was our little flower girl with the help of her mom.

My buddy Cory's son was the ringbearer. Soren did a great job!

Without further ado, my bride...

I really couldn't believe it when I saw her. The most beautiful woman I've ever seen.

Steve Lichtenberger did the honor of marrying us. He and his wife Brenda mean the world to me and I owe them a debt of gratitude for everything they've done to help me in life. They are the nicest people I've ever met.

And again, my family is amazing. Tim and Moriah sang a song for us!

And then the vows...

Time for the festivities! It really was a nice ceremony. I don't think it took over 20 minutes. Afterword, people ate the plethora of food and had their beverages as we took some wedding photos.

I love that photo of the homies. It is so rare we all are together. We went to high school together and stayed in touch ever since. I love those guys.

Alright! Let's have ourselves a drink! The toasts were hilarious, thoughtful, and kind. Sol's family (with her lovely cousin to translate) gave awesome speeches. Everyone was impressed.

Obviously, this post doesn't include photos of all the speeches or all the guests, but I'm doing my best. You know how it is. Mom and dad both gave heartfelt and touching speeches, as well as Paul. I love my family, and blessed to have a new family to add to it.

And the last wedding tradition, the first dance.

Let's get the party started!
What a day. I don't remember most of it, but what I do remember is wonderful. To have so many people come celebrate with us is humbling. Aaron and Taylor Adair came into town. Cory and his son Soren came in (he was the ringbearer!). Sean and Eric Hanna and their partners showed up as well as Matt Kuball and his wife. Grandma and Grandpa enjoyed the ceremony with us, and even Margie Fraley attended! I need to give extra props to Sage for her photography. She published all the wedding photos here and her portfolio is here.
What a day and what an experience. As mentioned, I'm a lucky man to have married such a beautiful and sweet woman.
